If you are interested in attending Massachusetts Boys State in June, 2025, the process is simple. For the 2025 program, we’ve transitioned as much of the process as possible online for convenience.
Prospective Boys Staters should submit an application online using our application form. This is the most effective way to notify Boys State staff that you want to attend the program. Once your application is submitted and processed, Boys State staff will contact your local American Legion Post to let them know that you’d like to participate in the program.
If you’ve already spoken to your local American Legion Post about sponsoring you, please indicate that on the application as well as the contact information for your American Legion Post’s representative. In the event that your local American Legion Post is unable to sponsor you, we will connect you with other means for your attendance to the program; this may include sponsorship from the Massachusetts Boys State Girls State Foundation, local organizations or businesses that may be willing to sponsor you, fundraising opportunities.
Once your sponsorship is secured, our registration team will send you the registration instructions. This guarantees your participation at Massachusetts Boys State and enters you into our system.
Please note that some American Legion Posts and some other organizations may require a recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor. Please think about who you’d ask to write that recommendation as you proceed through the process.
